Weekend Waterfowl Talks

2pm every Saturday & Sunday

Don't forget there are now free talks at the Duck Hut on the Brook at 2pm every Saturday and Sunday throughout the year. The Waterfowl Warden will tell you all about the Black Swans, Ducks and Geese and children may even get the chance to hold a duckling in the enclosure! Then the warden will walk you along the Brook and answer any questions for up to one hour. (Please note if you attend the talks and walks you must accept responsibility for your own and your children’s safety and not hold Dawlish Town Council responsible).

The Citizens Award recognizes exceptional volunteers who give their time and effort helping others without expecting anything in return. The award is made to individuals who have contributed to the well-being of the town and its residents by long-term voluntary work or one very special act. The Town Council is showcasing both The Riverside Centre (formerly the Hedley Way Centre) and The Manor House at an open day on Friday 27th January from 10am – 2.30pm. There will be demonstrations taking place throughout the day including Tai Chi & Qigong, Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Line dancing and ‘Insanity Live’ with Active Alex and there is also an opportunity to view the smaller rooms at the Manor House suitable for those people who work from home who may need occasional meeting space in professional surroundings....
