Walks around Dawlish
Dawlish is a seaside town within an outstanding natural setting. Its frontage onto the open sea extends from the sandstone cliffs of Holcombe, to the sandy dunes of Dawlish Warren and the Exe Estuary. These are linked by the South West Coast Path.
The town centre has many fascinating historic buildings around the attractive Lawn and Brook, continuing inland to the Parish Church, Manor House and Gardens.
Behind the town, fields and lanes is a green backdrop and routes up to Little Haldon, which provide panoramic views over the whole of the Dawlish area.
All these areas are accessible by footpath or lanes, a selection of which are described in the "Walks around Dawlish" leaflets available from the Tourist Information Centre or Town Council Offices at a cost of £2.00.
