Coronation Street Market - down the Strand

Card and arts stall

As part of the Coronation weekend, Dawlish Town Council is putting together a myriad of amazing events for the 3 day-holiday weekend. From Saturday 6th to Monday 8th May, there will be a variety of activity for all ages. Just as a teaser, some of the planned entertainment will include the showing of the King’s Coronation, a picnic on the Lawn, live music, bake-off judging, choirs and circus skills. We will also be featuring a movie screening on the Lawn.

One of our popular events is a Street Market on Monday 8th May, which will be all along the Strand, with additional stalls in the marquee and on the lawn. We are filling up fast but still have a few places available if you, or someone you know, would like to book a stall. We’ve filled all the spaces for catering and food, but still have some availability for stalls such as arts, crafts, portraits and dog treats or accessories.

If you would like to be part of the Coronation street market on this historic occasion, please fill out the entry form and get it back to us as soon as possible. https://forms.office.com/e/AiEPSYynu2. The deadline is 15th March.

Do you know where the word ‘market’ comes from? It is derived from the Latin word “Mercatus” which means to trade, merchandise or a place where business is transacted. So why not join us at the Coronation Mercatus and sign up for a stall.
