Friday evening 5th May – In the marquee on the Lawn
Vigil Service 5pm to 6pm
Bingo in aid of one of the King’s charities by Jimmy Hill. 7pm for 7.30pm
Saturday 6th May – Coronation Day
Around the Parish
St Gregory’s Parish Church Bell Ringers – ringing 10am to 10.30am – including a ‘tune’ called Kings
On the Lawn
11am Coronation screening on a large screen on the Lawn
3pm Crown clay modelling in the marquee
5pm to 6pm Children’s disco in the marquee
6pm Matilda the Musical on the large screen
Sunday 7th May – Dawlish Celebrates the Big Coronation Lunch

Dress up as a King and Queen – lookalike and join in the fun!
Face painter and circus skills – free

Bake off competition – drop off entries off the 10am to 11am, Judging 11am to 12 noon. (Criteria for all different ages)

High C’s Sunday 12 noon in the marquee

1.45pm Welcome by the Mayor of Dawlish with prayers from Christians Together in Dawlish and District, MC John O’Donoghue followed by:
o Crown Parade – bring your homemade crown and join in the parade around the Lawn – best crowns win prizes!
o Prizes to the winners of Poetry, Art and Bake Off Competitions
David Force 2.30pm to 3.30pm in the marquee – “A talk about Coronation memorabilia and life in Dawlish at Coronations Through the Ages.”
Dawlish Rock Waves 3.30pm to 4.15pm– bandstand
Friends of Dawlish Library quiz evening 7pm for 7.30pm in the marquee
Sunday – Holcombe
Cream tea on the Sunday of the King’s Coronation, with all proceeds going to two local charities. Organised by Holcombe Residents Association. 2.30pm to 4.30pm Holcombe Village Hall.
Monday 8th May– Dawlish Celebrates the Big Help Out – the Lawn
11am to 5pm
Face Painter
Dawlish WI in the marquee serving tea coffee squash and cakes
Street market – over 50 stalls booked
Refreshers Fair (find out about volunteering locally) in the marquee/lawn (over 20 organisations attending)
Teignmouth and Dawlish Rock Choir –11am
Dawlish College – 12noon and 3pm (repeat shows)
Bandstand – Punch and Judy – Monday 11.30 to 12 noon, 1pm to 1.30pm, 2.30pm to 3pm
Stilt walkers – Monday 11am to 3pm
7pm Musical Moments with Nanna M and Friends – join us in the marquee for the final singalong!

Saturday 29th April to Sunday 14th May – Coronation Dressed Shop Windows
Look out for the shop windows decorated for the Coronation as part of the best dressed Coronation window! Organised by the Dawlish Chamber of Commerce.
Events on the Lawn organised by Dawlish Town Council with the assistance of many volunteers and local groups and organisations. All events weather permitting and make change at short notice.
