Dawlish is a fascinating parish with a Regency resort town nestled attractively between steep surrounding hills at its heart, together with the picturesque settlements of Cockwood and Holcombe and the tourist hotspot of Dawlish Warren. The railway sweeps along the entire seafront and beach. Character cottages, impressive villas, narrow streets, bustling shops, famous Black Swans and welcoming tea rooms are just a taste of what Dawlish has to offer.

A range of excellent facilities including schooling, shopping, leisure facilities and transportation links to nearby Exeter and Newton Abbot.  Dawlish Warren is one of South Devon’s favourite holiday destinations offering an award winning beach and 500 acre Nature Reserve which includes the Exe Estuary.  Dawlish is the perfect place to work, live or visit.  Dawlish Town Council is working with its partners to make the Parish Eco Friendly. The Council was quick to declare a ‘climate and wildlife emergency’ in our area, bringing awareness that we all need to do more to look after our environment.  As a council, we are looking at ways to save energy, reduce our use of plastics where we can, and educate others on the subject. We put climate change and wildlife into all of our thinking.
