has all been made possible by Lady’s Mile Holiday Park sponsoring the
Procession! Jason Jeffery, owner of the holiday park said "It is a
great honour to be the main sponsor for this year’s carnival procession.
Dawlish carnival is an extremely important part of the Dawlish
community and the locals who kindly support our business throughout the
year. Lady’s Mile has been in the same family ownership for nearly 60
years and we feel this is extremely important to carry this on, so our
children can take their children to this fantastic Dawlish event ".
They will also be leading the procession with their land train, which
will be filled with former Dawlish Carnival Queens.
Celebrates Carnival Chairman, Trevor Stratford, commented: "Remember,
this is Dawlish Town Carnival, an event for everyone to take part in and
enjoy. We are trying to bring back the fun and community spirit to this
wonderful event. Please help out if you are able to. We want everyone
to feel that they have a part to play. We are aiming to make this a week
that will be memorable for all the right reasons, whether it is for the
town residents or the holidaymakers who come to Dawlish to enjoy a week
of fun and frolics! We really want to make this a procession to
remember. If you have taken part in previous years, or would like to
give it a go for the first time, please get together with friends to
build a float or make some costumes. The more people and floats there,
the happier we shall be!"
