Dawlish Town Council is pleased to be supporting the Great Big Green Week.
There are lots of green events to take part in during The Dawlish Great Big Green Week, from 18th to 26th September 2021, coordinated by Sustainable Dawlish, Transition.
There’s The Great Big Green Dawlish Lawn Event on the 18th September, with School Choirs and musicians in the morning and in the afternoon, the South Devon Singers Community Choir, an acoustic Guitarist, and an Acapella group to entertain you. Plus, there’ll be lots of Information Stands to give you more information about how to protect our precious natural environment; about greener lifestyle choices you can make; a Nature Detectives Competition for children; a ‘Moths to a Flame’ installation art activity and much more.
Lots of exciting community events are being planned by many different organisations for the Dawlish Great Big Green Week such as: Teignbridge Ranger Guided walks; a Foraging Walk; Open Vegetable Gardens to visit in Middlewood; Apple Pressing at a local Farm ; a Fair Trade Friends Afternoon Tea and Concert; a Climate Change talk and Q&A; the South West Rail Resilience Kiosk will open and there are Dawlish Against Plastic Community Beach Clean and Town Litter picks to take part in ; ‘After the Flood’ is showing at The Shaftesbury Theatre; St. Mary’s have a Harvest Trail around Cockwood, Cofton and Eastdon; and the 6th Dawlish Fix Fest, which will take place on Saturday 25th September.
